Grand President Hotel Bangkok can be found on Soi Sukhumvit 11, in the tourist center of Bangkok, near the several embassies, such as United Kingdom, Switzerland, Sweden and others. If you rent a car, you can conveniently reach the main highways of Bangkok from that street, it’s a few minutes ride. On the other hand, the hotel appearance doesn’t correspond to its title: unlike most “President” hotels, this one looks rather dirty and smelly, even for the 4-star rating. The staff is not very friendly, when it comes to such issues as early check-out or finding insects in your room. On the other hand, the prices here are attractive: just $45-65 for a standard room, where you’ll feel fine along with a girl. I wouldn’t agree to pay extra $6 for a breakfast: outside you can eat cheaper.
The hotel offers some pools and a sauna, and its recreational zone is mostly fine. However, the restaurant doesn’t have a wide choice in its menu, as I said above. The masseuses are not very attractive, so I’d prefer a private massage session with a local girl in my suite. Fortunately, these guys look pretty used to the visitors of their guests: I have invited a girl twice, and neither the staff nor security have asked any questions, even when the girl stayed for a night. It’s a rather convenient place for sex tourists, though you can find cheaper (and cleaner) rooms in some other hotels. It is also true for the food: they ask too much for the meal, whether it’s a room service, restaurant, or provided breakfasts.
